Refuting G12 system defined by Good Harvest Ministry[Part I]

For the past 3 months that I was giving a mission to those who are misled by the churches adhering to the system of G12, Mr. Victor Venus commented in my blog and shared to me a link regarding the system. Thank God and this person is giving me a chance to further read and understood more the movement. Now, as I opened the link he shared, it directed me to a certain born Again ministry and explained how the mission started and the system as a whole. Please give me the opportunity to refute this one.

They said: What is G12?

This is a big question to answer because this Vision has reached all seven continents of the earth.

Reply: really, so this has reached, hmm..how fascinating indeed right?

They said: Therefore, there has been so much church growth all over the world because the Lord has breathed life into the exponential multiplication of His Kingdom. This article will give a thorough explanation of all that God has been doing through the G12 Vision.

Reply: the fact is, in Davao City, one of the tactics of your cohort churches why there is a widespread growth of the churches adhering to the system is because of Anti-Catholicism, full of flowering attacks and lots of blindfolding tactics of the members, remember, a religious denomination cannot be established without questioning the doctrines of the Catholic Church and used the Bible-Alone as the reference of their attacks, and sometimes, if a certain sect already brainwashed the minds of those poor Catholics, they will tell it to them that you do not have to engage to arguments because it is a WORK OF SATAN…Is that the convenient way of your churches in order for them not to know the falsity of your beliefs and practices?

They said: G12 means The Government of Twelve. It is a strategy for evangelism and multiplication. This strategy is based on a believer’s love for Jesus and therefore a compassion for the souls. It was birth out of the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20.

Reply: there is no connection with what the apostles did to what you are doing now, in fact, a certain apostle did not limit converts by 12, for example, St. Paul, in ministry, he never said I will build 12 in order for the ministry to be propagated, or even Jesus never limit the numbers of His apostles to 12, it’s just that He chose the twelve to symbolize many events in the Old Testaments just like the 12 tribes of Israel [Ge 35:22; 49:28] and in no ways limitation of the numbers when it comes to sheperding a certain cell. Why did I say that? Did you remember the elders in Revelations 4:4? Where instead of what you said as having 12 members in a government, as to signify the 144,000 serving the temple, there are 24 instead? Let’s assume theat each one of them handles a cell and divide them by 24 and it will turn out that they handle 6,000 of them, not twelve right?

They said: The Vision is also about forming disciples after Jesus character. Jesus’ greatest desire is to see lives completely change through His Blood. He knows that the only way that lives are transformed is through the Power of the Cross.

Prayer is one essential principle within the G12 Vision. Nothing happens without prayer.  In order to be successful in this Vision, every individual believer must pray. Each person must labor in prayer for every soul that will be won.

Reply: exactly, we are encouraged to pray, but the question is, is the principle of blindfolding Catholics to the real sense of being a Christian is your way of encouraging Catholics to become members of  your flock? I remember a friend of mine who was once a member of a certain church following the system admitted that in the checklist before the conversion, they put on the list that it is bad to be a Catholic and following its doctrines, is that not anti-Catholic for you? Did Christ do that in order to invite Jews in becoming His followers? I don’t think so.

They said: It is important to know that G12 is not a denomination. For this reason it has never express the desire of any one to leave their denomination. Instead, G12 supports denominations, other ministries and Outreaches.

Reply: This is deceiving, the system cut a portion of Catholics and left the faith thus becoming members of the churches following the system. I have friends who became members of the cell groups organized by those churches, The fact is, they never make the sign of the cross anymore, never pray using the rosary, never attend the mass, never honour the saints, never honour Mama Mary and never believed already in the doctrines and practices of the Catholic Church, is that not a sign that they left already the denomination of which they were baptized ?
